Description

In her efforts to protect streams and open space, Terry Hershey wore many hats. She was a Houston community organizer who helped found the Bayou Preservation Association, Citizens Who Care, and The Park People. She was also a generous philanthropist, endowing the Terese and Jacob Hershey Foundation with her husband. As well, Mrs. Hershey was politically active, serving as an vocal commissioner for Texas Parks and Wildlife.
