Description

In 2000, after the death of McGillvray Muse in the 1990s, his widow Leona Muse donated 1972 acres near Brownwood to be protected as the McGillivray and Leona McKie Muse State Wildlife Management Area. The Area is operated as part of the Cross Timbers and Prairies ecosystem, offering opportunities for the public, especially young people, to hunt.
