Houston Harriman Harte

Together with his brother Ed, Houston Harte donated 67,125 acres to the Nature Conservancy in 1983. At the time, it was reputed to be the largest single acreage that had been given to the Conservancy. The tract later joined Big Bend National Park as the Northern Rosillos unit, the largest single addition to the Park since its establishment in 1944.
