Description

Herb Booth was a noted artist depicting hunting and fishing scenes, often in watercolor and gouache, but also as drawings, etchings and prints. His images showed the beauty, use and enjoyment of Texas’ natural world. He also helped contribute to conservation efforts through his stamp designs and donations for the Coastal Conservation Association, Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Location Notes

Booth lived, painted, hunted and fished in the area around Rockport, and was affiliated with the Rockport Gang of artists (together with Jack Cowan and Al Barnes). So, it seems reasonable to place a marker at the Rockport Center for the Arts.
