Geyata Ajilvsgi was an expert in plants and butterflies native to Texas, and is celebrated for creating butterfly profiles, compiling nectar and larval food source lists, rediscovering the rare Texas trailing phlox, and for producing her book, Butterfly Gardening for Texas (2013), and her broad work advocating use of native plants to create wildlife-friendly landscapes.
