Charly McTee hosted a daily radio show, Outdoor Texas, from 1972 through 1990 on San Antonio’s KKYX station, founded the Texas Youth Hunting Association, served as general manager of the Texas wildlife Association, and volunteered as a board member of the Texas Outdoor Writers Association. He was especially known for inspiring young people to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors. His legacy continues through the Charly McTee Scholarship, supporting future wildlife professionals.
